For universities

A system as big as your ideas.

Faculties, departments, programmes and thousands of students. We build the system to the shape of your university, put it on your own domain and hand you the keys.

Built to your structure

Your university, mapped as it really is.

Faculties, schools, departments, programmes and courses, in your names and your order. If one faculty works differently, the system does too.

Marks entered once and graded against your own scales and boundaries, with the GPA rules each faculty actually uses.

  5. A librarian closing a drawer in a school records room lined with folders
    Chapter 05

    Transcripts and verification

Transcripts drawn straight from the record in your own format, each carrying a code that anyone can check online.

  6. Chapter 06

    Graduation and alumni

Clearance, graduation lists and an alumni record that stays with your university long after the ceremony.

Research and collaborations

Every partnership, on one record.

Research offices, international offices and alumni relations keep records too. Tell us how yours work, and we build them into the same system.

Data sovereignty

Every record.Yours to keep.

Decades of admissions, results and research live in this system. Keep it on your own servers or let us host it, under your own domain, and take all of it with you whenever you choose.

  • 01Your servers or ours

Run it in your own data centre or let Hylen host it. You can move either way later.

  • 02Your domain and email

Staff and students sign in at your own address, and every message leaves from your own email.

  • 03Export everything

Every record and every file, whenever you ask. You never need our permission.

A university story

Built to its own shape.

Students walking along a tree-lined path across a university campus
For a university

A university that stops bending to someone else's template.

Faculties forced to fit a product designed for a different institution. This is what happens when the system is built to the university's real shape, and the university owns it.

Questions

What universities ask us.

Can the system follow our faculty and department structure?

Yes. We build it around your faculties, schools, departments and programmes, in your own names. Where faculties work differently, the system lets them.

Do you handle credits, GPA and transcripts?

Yes. Credit loads, grading scales, GPA rules and transcript layouts are built to your regulations, so results come straight from the record.

Where is our data kept?

Wherever you choose: on your own servers or hosted by Hylen. Either way it sits under your own domain, and you can export all of it at any time.

Who owns the code?

Your university does. When we hand over the system, the software and its source code are yours to keep, change and extend.

Can our own IT team work on it?

Yes. Your developers can extend it directly, or work alongside ours as your needs grow.

Can you build research and partnership records too?

Yes. Grants, partner agreements, exchange programmes and alumni relations can all be built into the same system, shaped to how your offices work.

How do we start?

Write to [email protected] or use the contact form. We begin by listening to your registry, finance and IT teams, then build in stages.
